Common questions

Before you apply

Who can volunteer?

Anyone who shares our commitment to inclusion, respect and safeguarding. Some roles working directly with children or vulnerable adults will require Garda vetting once that process is set up.

What training is involved?

Every volunteer completes an induction covering our values, safeguarding practice and the specifics of their role before taking part in any activity.

How much time does it take?

It depends on the role — from a few hours at a single event to a regular weekly or monthly commitment. Tell us your availability and we'll match it to a suitable role.

Is there support once I'm volunteering?

Yes. Volunteers have a named point of contact and access to ongoing guidance, particularly for roles involving one-to-one connections.
